The Database Administrator/Engineer will be part of an integrated NPD Operations & Sustainment team providing database administration and engineering support to our customer and will interface with engineering resources located at other facilities.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for database engineering, development, testing, implementation, and maintenance.
- Responsible for ensuring issues or potential impacts are identified and resolved, minimizing schedule and cost impacts.
- Responsible for reading, writing, debugging, updating (maintenance release/updates), and fixing triggers, views, and stored procedures.
- Responsible for performance, integrity, and security of the databases.
- Responsible for troubleshooting customer issues.
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- 5+ years of equivalent work experience required
- Relevant work experience to include:
- Knowledge with Oracle or other relational databases.
- Experience with Microsoft Office - Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
- Security+ TS/SCI security clearance required
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Bachelor degree prefred.
- Experience with Oracle database administration.
- Experience in reading, writing, debugging, updating (maintenance release/updates), and fixing triggers, views, and stored procedures.
- Experience with the NGA's configuration management and Request for Change (RFC) process for review and impact assessment.
- Knowledge of developing web based systems from dynamic results for a relational database.
- Ability to adapt effectively to changes or requirements.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Works well in a team environment and is self-motivating.
- Ability to travel as required.
