Job Summary:
Westat is seeking a Website Manager to join our dynamic, award-winning web development team. The Website Manager will work closely with programmers, designers, testers, QA/QC specialists, security analysts, and other project staff in enhancing and adding new functionalities to sites, following our web development lifecycle process. In addition to strong technical skills using content management systems such as WordPress or Drupal, experience is needed in XML, HTML5, JS/jQuery, CSS3, and Photoshop. This is not a design position; however, the candidate must understand how to support and apply the client's brand standards to update the look and feel of websites. This position is contingent on the award of the contract and will be based onsite at the client site in Atlanta, Georgia.

Job Responsibilities:
• Leads and contributes to the development and maintenance of client websites using a WCMS.
• Sets priorities and implements day-to-day updates.
• Collaborates with team members for quality control and testing.
• Enhances sites for SEO.
• Gathers requirements and documents specifications for new functionalities.
• Produces reports on site metrics and task status.
• Supports email lists.
• Interacts directly with client.
• Occasional on-call support may be needed.
• Assists with marketing and business development initiatives.
• Other duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field.
• 5-10 years of professional experience in developing and maintaining websites via WCMS.
• Demonstrated experience in coding standards-compliant HTML5 and CSS3.

Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience with jQuery, database technology (MS SQL Server, Oracle).
• Experience in multiple WCMS packages such as Drupal or Wordpress.
• Experience in Adobe Campaign, Photoshop.
• Knowledge of web security best practices and Section 508 compliance standards.
• Experience supporting CDC or other federal public health clients.

The successful candidate must have excellent verbal communication and client relationship skills, be able to meet deadlines, and learn on the job to stay abreast of the latest developments in web design, development federal policies and best practices. You should be able to write clear, comprehensive specifications and reports, work with limited supervision and independently, guide others with instruction or procedures, and manage multiple tasks.
