The Database DBA - Mid will provide technical expertise for database design, implementation, and analysis. The Database DBA - Mid's talents, perspectives, and efforts will contribute directly to the production of valuable intelligence to facilitate positive mission outcomes.

  • Apply fundamental concepts, processes, practices, and procedures on technical assignments.
  • Under direction, implement, monitor, and reorganize databases, codes, and tests and maintain database architectures.
  • Execute utility requirements such as reorganization, back-up, and recovery.
  • Analyze and resolve database system production problems.
  • Analyze user requirements and statistics and participate in database design and performance.
  • Advise systems engineers on database coding issues and assist with data modeling processes.
  • Other duties as assigned

  • High school diploma OR
  • 6+ years of related experience
  • 4+ years of experience providing desk side support, specializing in troubleshooting complex and advanced end-user issues with hardware and software
  • Must be fluent in multiple IT disciplines such as computing and networking
  • Background check required

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • HDI Technical Support Professional required within 6 months of employment
  • Must have a broad base of knowledge
  • Ability to work independently and yet be effective in a team setting
  • Ability to manage multiple efforts with time related constraints in a fast-paced contracting environment
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with diverse internal and external stakeholder groups and individuals
  • Friendly presence, helpful attitude, good interpersonal skills, and ability to work well with others
  • Excellent skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and other Office applications
  • Experience working in a home office setting
  • Ability to train end users on frequently asked technical issues
  • Ability to provide technical assistance and support over the phone with good phone skills and a professional demeanor
  • Previous customer service experience strongly desired
  • Good problem-solving skills with the ability to visualize a problem or situation and think abstractly to solve it
