Intermediate Specialist - Maintenance

Summary

The Intermediate Specialist - Maintenance will be responsible for daily operational and maintenance activities of GFC/C IFICS Data Terminal (IDT), Communications Node Equipment (CNE), Network System Manager (NSM) and Long-Haul Communications (LHC) equipment in support of the GMD Missile Defense mission at Ft. Greely, Alaska.

Responsibilities

• Conduct technical analysis of product implementations, modifications and enhancements to product in accordance with specific customer specifications and implementations.
  
• Operate, troubleshoot, report problems/resolve, replacement of LRU (Line Replaceable Unit), track property and trouble ticket resolution.
  
• Complete preventative maintenance as scheduled and react appropriately to corrective maintenance actions.
  
• Other duties as assigned
  

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED required OR College level work towards a technical degree in related discipline
  
• 4+ years of military experience may be used in lieu of degree and experience requirement
  
• 1+ years of computer related experience (e.g.: UNIX, MS Office, databases, software applications and hardware) and Sun Solaris platforms is required.
  
• 6 months of technical maintenance experience with equipment such as CISCO routers/switches, with Intelligent Path Switching (IPS) devices, CIMMS database and Remedy trouble ticket database management system, SUN/IBM system administrator.
  
• COMSEC/CRYPTO certification required.
  
• IAT Level II (Security+ CE) achieved within 30 days of employment.
  
• Active DoD Secret clearance with the ability to obtain a Top-Secret clearance
