As a Principal Engineer, you will help set the direction of the design and development of our evolving ecosystem of high performing SaaS products in Arc Publishing. You will partner with product owners, architects, and Arc clients to build a world-class, bleeding-edge set of services focusing on photo and video asset management. You will play a crucial role with opportunities to bring your unique ideas around development practices, testing, and deployment strategies to the table.

**This position can be 100% Remote in the US for the right candidate.

What you need for this position in order to be successful:
  • Experienced in building full-stack web-based, distributed, multi-tenant, and multi-tier applications using java and javascript.
  • Capable of designing, building, and testing web services and APIs.
  • Experience with developing Microservices and SaaS products
  • Ability to work remotely across multiple time zones
  • 8+ years of overall software engineering experience
  • 5+ years of experience with Java, Spring, REST, Service Oriented Architecture, Docker and container services. Knowledge of Kafka, Jenkins is a plus.
  • 2+ years of experience in SQL and relational database modeling
  • 2+ years of experience working with ReactJS or other modern front-end technologies
  • Ability to translate complex technical concepts into high-level designs and act as a subject matter expert in software design, architecture, implementation, deployment, and support across our full platform
  • Strong understanding of AWS or other cloud technologies
  • Worked with CI/CD tools with an emphasis on building quality code and speed to market.
