Industrial/Organizational Psychologists - Journeyman


The Industrial/Organizational Psychologists - Journeyman will support industrial/organization efforts and apply principles of psychology to human resources, administration, management sales, and marketing problems.

  • Perform policy planning, employee testing and selection, training and development and analysis.
  • Work with management to organize the work setting to improve worker productivity.
  • Conduct analyses to identify and validate job performance requirements and document results of analyses.
  • Develop and apply human performance metrics for use in development, remediation and evaluation of instructional materials.
  • Analyze organizational manpower and personnel requirements.
  • Design and implement human performance improvement interventions.
  • Perform training effectiveness evaluations.
  • Conduct human systems integration analyses.
  • Develop surveys to assess job satisfaction as well as other types of surveys related to organization behavior, management, and human resources.
  • Evaluate learning and instruction using formative and summative evaluation techniques.
  • Use appropriate industry and Government standards and specifications.
  • Prepare the following Products/Documents/Reports:
  • Job Tasks Analyses; Manpower and Personnel Analyses: inputs to ISD products.
  • HIS- Mission Analysis, Mission Scenarios, Functional Flow Block Diagrams, Operational Sequence Diagrams, Performance Baseline Specifications, Quality Function Descriptions, Top Down Functional Analysis, Workload Analysis, Test Analysis, Manpower Estimation.
  • HPI- Business Analysis, Performance Analysis, Root Cause Analysis, Intervention Performance, HPI Evaluation.
  • Other duties as assigned

  • Master's degree in psychology.
  • 3+ years of experience with human behavior studies.
  • Must have experience with enhancing military member training.
  • Secret clearance required.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Must have the ability to attend all customer in-person meetings and conferences within two (2) hours, as requested.
  • Ability to travel locally up to 50%.
  • Advanced working knowledge of a variety of computer software applications, including Microsoft Office Suite and Outlook.
  • Possess excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize.
  • Ability to effectively communicate in written and verbal English language.
  • Ability to multi-task in a high-performance based environment.
  • Possess strong problem solving and leadership skills.
  • Ability to self-start and work independently or as a team.

  • The employee will normally work in a temperature-controlled office environment, with frequent exposure to electronic office equipment.
  • During visits to areas of operations, may be exposed to extreme cold or hot weather conditions. Is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and loud noise.
