Marketing Operations Project Coordinator (Contract)

Job Description

The Marketing Operations Project Coordinator will play a central role in the coordination and implementation of The Washington Post's custom advertising solutions across all platforms including desktop and mobile web, print, social platforms and Washington Post mobile apps. This role will primarily focus on coordinating internal project management timelines and assets, assisting in campaign reporting, and helping with custom content article page builds and QA process facilitation. In addition, the successful candidate will collaborate extensively with internal Client Solutions teams to bring to life unique and innovative custom and native advertising programs.

Timing: ASAP through mid-August 2021

Responsibilities include:

· Serves as internal project coordinator across campaigns, strategically coordinating internal teams and third-party vendors to create and manage timelines for complex custom advertising programs

· Creates and manages project timelines throughout the campaign to adhere to program expectations and goals

· Upload and track campaign files to ensure project teams always have access to accurate documentation

· Manages internal creative workflow and communications with BrandStudio editorial, design, development, video/audio production teams and third-party vendors to achieve the highest quality creative deliverables aligned to BrandStudio best practices

· Works with performance management team to monitor traffic, engagement and promotion metrics on a per-campaign basis and provide progress reports to clients

· Updates internal trackers to manage key dates across multiple campaigns

· Coordinates with internal and external development teams to ensure a thorough QA process for all content launches

· Assists with data pulls to facilitate presale requests as well as periodic campaign reporting

· Builds article pages in our CMS once copy and image assets are approved

· Prepares final campaign wrap reports utilizing data from Google Analytics and screenshot decks to thoroughly communicate campaign success and learnings

· Additional support for the Marketing Operations team where needed


· Strong organization and time management skills

· 1-2 years' experience project managing/producing native advertising content and/or brand campaigns on behalf of blue-chip clients

· Experience building campaign success stories from performance data sets

· Understanding of digital media and advertising industries (agency and/or publisher experience a plus)

· Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects in busy environment

· Excellent oral and written communication skills necessary, with strong presentation skills a plus

· Well-versed in content QA process and best practices

· Capable of working proactively with multiple departments to achieve results

· Proficiency in PowerPoint, MS Word and Excel a must

· Experience working in Wordpress or other content management systems.

· Familiar with Google Analytics or other analytics platforms such as Omniture

· Prior experience with Asana, Jira, Trello, Basecamp or equivalent project management software
