The DevOps Engineer is responsible to work with IT developers to facilitate better coordination among operations, development, and testing functions by automating and streamlining the integration and deployment processes. The DevOps Engineer works with the software developers, System Operators (SysOps) and other production IT staff to oversee code releases.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Design and build automated processes maintaining reproducibility, auditability and traceability information for deployment, monitoring and operations.
  • Provide customized continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) solutions which are fully compliant with ITIL change, incident and configuration management processes.
  • Advise on technologies and tools to support development and test environments.
  • Implement/manage production software build and test environments.
  • Test, build, design, deployment, and ability to maintain continuous integration and continuous delivery process.
  • Work in close coordination with the development and operations team(s) such that the application is in line with performance according to the customer's expectation.
  • Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications: (To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.)
  • Bachelor's Degree OR equivalent and 1 years of relevant experience including:
  • Linux or Windows Experience with infrastructure automation tools.
  • Programming languages such as Python, Go or Bash
  • CI/CD tools (e.g. Jenkins, Travis, Gitlab CI)
  • Different cloud service models (e.g. IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, Serverless)
  • Must have the ability to obtain a Secret clearance.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Ability to obtain Secret clearance
  • Linux or Windows System Administration Knowledge (e.g. server administration, internals, package management) desired
  • Experience with the following preferred:
  • Container technology and microservices a plus
  • Deployment/configuration management tools (e.g. Ansible, puppet, chef, Salt) a plus
  • Monitoring/Logging/Performance Analytics (e.g. Logstash/Kibana, DataDog, Splunk, FluentD) a plus
  • Operating fault-tolerant distributed systems (e.g. Redundancy, Availability Zones, Data Reliability) a plus
  • SQL and know SQL database technologies such as PostgreSQL, Redis, Kafka, or Cassandra
  • AWS, Azure or Google Cloud or equivalent technologies
  • Strong communications skills (both written and oral), strong customer service and excellent interpersonal skills, ability to listen and understand what is being described by the end user as well as the ability to explain problem resolutions when necessary.
  • Should be well-versed in working with teams.
  • Working in regulation with industry-standard best practices in close coordination with integration and deployment team(s).
  • Ability to work independently without direct supervision or guidance.
  • Strong organizational skills, ability to prioritize and multi-task.
  • Must have the ability to travel to different work locations, as needed.

  • The employee will normally work in a temperature-controlled office environment, with frequent exposure to electronic office equipment.
  • During visits to areas of operations, may be exposed to extreme cold or hot weather conditions. Is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and loud noise.
