Reports To: Senior Operations and Capture Manager

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt, On-Call, Regular

  • The Data Fusion SME will work with partners to integrate systems and data quickly and effectively.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Build and deploy Data Pipelines on the Cloud to enable ETL capabilities.
  • Drive the development of cloud-based and hybrid data warehouses and business intelligence platforms.
  • Build Data Pipelines to ingest structured and unstructured data.
  • Work with partners to integrate systems and data quickly and effectively.
  • Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications: (To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.)
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Information Technology or another related field or equivalent
  • 10 years of experience in Systems Integration Development
  • Hands-on experience with Google Data Fusion
  • Experience leading data ingestion, data transformation and data profiling activities
  • Hands-on experience with Google cloud platform technologies:
  • Google Cloud Platform Pub/Sub
  • Cloud Functions
  • DataFlo,
  • DataProc (Hadoop, Spark, Hive)
  • Data Fusion
  • Cloud Machine Learning
  • Cloud Data Store and BigTable
  • BigQuery
  • DataLab
  • DataStudio
  • Experience migrating Data Pipelines to Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
  • Background check required

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Ability to obtain a Secret Clearance as needed
  • GCP (Good Clinical Practices) Certification preferred
  • Advanced SQL & Python skills
  • Strong written, oral, and verbal communication skills
  • Strong management and organizational skills
  • Ability to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
  • Ability to travel CONUS as needed, up to 25%
  • Ability to develop strategies to achieve organizational goals including, continual attention to detail, establishing priorities and meeting deadlines.
  • Ability to adapt the strategy to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to juggle multiple competing tasks and demands and rapidly be able to assimilate new information
  • Ability to approach others in a tactful manner, reacting well under pressure, treating others with respect and consideration regardless of their status or posture
  • Ability to accept responsibility for one's own actions

  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures and government regulations
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.

  • The employee will normally work in a temperature-controlled office environment, with frequent exposure to electronic office equipment.
  • During visits to areas of operations, may be exposed to extreme cold or hot weather conditions. Is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and loud noise.
