Venturi, LLC , is seeking a full timeSafety Officer for facility operations and maintenance services for a U.S. Government customer at multiple buildings located at the Bannock County, Idaho site. The Government requires the support services to augment the technical and administrative staff of the site. The entire site consists of nine buildings totaling approximately 266,000 usable square feet (sf), which is comprised of general offices, data centers (DCs), visitor screening facility (VSF), a mail screening facility (MSF), and grounds of the approximate 17 acre site. The Tier III Data Center is in operation 365 days per year (366 in a leap year), 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, regardless of weather conditions or other events that would usually close local businesses or schools. The core working hours on site are 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. local time,

Monday (M) - Friday (F) with coverage for all shifts and weekends to support the 24 x 7 x 365

requirements. All personnel are considered emergency essential as the operations of the Data Center must be maintained at all times. Work under this contract includes the performance of PdM, PM, CM, Service Requests (SR) for all buildings, systems and equipment, and grounds year round. Grounds maintenance includes, but not limited to, asphalt and concrete maintenance and repair, landscaping maintenance and repair (including sprinkling/irrigation systems), and snow removal. Grounds maintenance is of great importance to the safety and utility of all facilities in the portfolio.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • The Safety Officer of a Tier III Data Center will possess a minimum of five (5) years of operational experience in industrial/commercial facilities, OSHA certified, and credentialed as a Safety Officer. The Safety Officer will possesses any other applicable training and experience needed to be a Safety Officer. An Associate's degree is desirable; ten (10) years of experience as a Safety Officer can be substituted in place of a degree.
  • Skills required for this job are typically acquired through the completion of an undergraduate degree and 5 years of experience. 10 years experience may substituted in place of a degree. Specific contract requirement will prevail, if different.
  • Experience with large scale Facility maintenance and operations, to include Tier III Data Center Operations, is preferred.
  • Oversee and act as line management's technical resource for determining Operations and Maintenance risk analysis for Operational Risk Management Program.
  • Review contract safety specifications and incorporate requirements into the Accident Prevention Plan (APP).
  • Assisting in the development of project safety plans, budgets, safety supplies, training materials and other associated costs.
  • Review applicable regulatory requirements/and addressing deficiencies noted in the current program.
  • Develop site safety training programs and possess a knowledge base of materials.
  • Conduct inspections and audits, and participating in field inspections and meetings to facilitate communication of inspection results and corrective actions.
  • Participate in safety briefings with personnel on project to confirm understanding of Safety and Health {S&H) requirements.
  • Lead incident investigations when required.
  • Implement health, safety and environmental policies, procedures and guidelines for the employee and department safety
  • Create incident reports and performs inspections to ensure conformity in all areas of HSE.
  • Interact with maintenance personnel, clients, subcontractors, and regulatory agencies to research and interpret standards, codes and regulations.
  • Remain informed of regulatory requirements and auditing standards. Assist in development and implementation of systems and standards to facilitate the capturing and analysis of HSE statistics.
  • Under general supervision, solve complex problems requiring detailed knowledge of field and industry best practices.
  • Use experience and problem solving skills to develop and improve processes.
  • May provide guidance to less experienced team members
  • Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:(To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.)

  • U.S. Government Top Secret Security Clearance is required.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • 5 years specialized experience proving detailed knowledge, skills and abilities to be able to successfully perform this position.
  • Experience that demonstrates knowledge of a wide range of safety and occupational health concepts, practices, procedures, techniques, standards, orders and directives.
  • Demonstrated ability to plan, organize, direct and evaluate a viable safety and occupational health program encompassing maintenance and repair shops; hazardous material storage sites, food handling, buildings, fields; recreation and industrial equipment; and functional activities.
  • Working knowledge of building design and construction practices related to architectural, mechanical, plumbing, and electrical fields sufficient to identify actual and potential hazards and to recommend the application of specific safety measures to correct unsafe conditions.
  • Experience performing mishap investigations, analysis and identification of causal factors to minimize unsafe practices, procedures and conditions; or to archive preventative recurrences.
  • Ability to communicate orally and in writing to effectively prepare and present reports, briefings, investigations and presentations to all ranks/levels of the organization and affiliated agencies.
