Systems Management Technologist

Summary:The Systems Management Technologist will provide primary and backup server system administration support.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Provide systems administration support for Windows operating systems and applications Support may include, but is not limited to, print server administration, and site level Active Directory.

Install, configure, maintain and provide troubleshoot support for all operating systems, applications and hardware assigned.

Provide Organizational Administrator (OA) providing domain services support and administration as required to include managing Active Directory resources including, but not limited to, user accounts, security and distribution groups, and group policy objects (GPOs).

Maintain system compliance by ensuring all approved IAVAs, SPs, and patches are installed and configured. This includes maintaining Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) Security Technical Implementations Guides (STIGs) compliance and reporting.

Perform systems backups and recovery procedures. Document all system requirements associated with Disaster Recovery in the systems support documentation.

Create and update related server/application documentation including; Trusted Recovery Documentation (TRD), Method of Procedures (MOP), user guides and other related training material.

Work with the customer to help track annual maintenance support of systems, hardware, and software.

Provide support for the Emergency Notification system (e.g., AtHoc, Alert!) as required.

Serve as Entitlement Manager for Enterprise Email as required manager for Army Materiel Command (AMC) responsible for interfacing between Army Enterprise Service Desk and DISA for issues relating to user mailbox creation and Organization Mailbox creation/access.

Follow all NEC policies, procedures, applicable regulations, and Functional Area processes.

Maintain currency on technology and service capabilities.

Minimum Qualifications :

BS in related field; 5 years of experience or applicable technical certification may be used in lieu of education with 7 years of direct relevant experience.

Possess Baseline and Full Computing Environment Certifications for IAT-II IAW DoD 8570.01-M and BBP 05-PR-M-0002.

Must have Windows Server certification.

Desired MCSA certification.

Must have NACLC with Tier 3 investigation
