This is an opportunity for a Project Engineer - Autonomy Systems to join the fast-paced world of autonomous solutions with DCS Corp's Army Ground Combat Systems engineering group located in Warren, MI. You will work alongside our U.S. Army Ground Vehicle Robotics and Autonomous Systems Center customer and be rewarded with a technically challenging and diverse career in the areas of manned & unmanned ground vehicles, robotics, vehicle electronics, and ground vehicle simulation.

Come join the Army team responsible for leading, researching, designing, developing, engineering, testing, and transitioning autonomous ground vehicle technology for the current and future Force. In this position you will serve as a Project Engineer providing project management support to TARDEC Robotic and Autonomous Systems projects and programs.

Essential Job Functions:

Provide Project Engineering and Lead functions on robotics programs with specific robotic engineering functions such as programming robotic vehicles, autonomous vehicle algorithm development, Robotic Operating System (ROS), safety testing of autonomous systems, robotic operational objectives, robotic architectures, and robotic control.

Work alongside the engineering team to define, develop, refine, implement, and test Army Ground Vehicle Autonomous solutions.

Participate in Army and Industry IPTs, to include development and presentation of briefings to stakeholders at all levels of Army management, as well as Industry Partners.

Coordinate program related activities across functional areas internal to PdM and PEO and with external organizations (TRADOC, ATEC, RDECOM, etc.).

Prepare, review, and deliver high-level briefings, information papers, executive summaries, and other forms of communication as required.

Develop and maintain relationships with customers and other DoD organizations to understand needs and deliver solutions.

Develop and/or provide input to plans of execution to include scope, budget, resources, risk, and schedule.

Perform requirements analysis.

Develop and review engineering and contractual Scopes of Work (SOWs) for contractor teams.

Review technical documents (ICDs, Mechanical drawings, requirements, and performance specifications).

Communicate project status to internal and external stakeholders and senior leaders.

Travel as required.
Requirements Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.

Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Computer Science, ideally with a concentration in robotic and autonomous based solutions.

Minimum 2 years DoD or Industry Experience, Ideally in Autonomous Technologies and Solutions.

Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance.

Excellent written and verbal communications skills.

Proficient in Microsoft Office and Microsoft Project.

Exposure to leading or managing engineering or technology-based programs (may include functioning in the role of Assistant to the Project Engineering Lead), or a high desire to enter into a Project Engineering role.

Desired Skills:

Experience with technology and software building to design, develop and install, test, and field secure and functional software solutions for autonomous mobility and system integration.

Experience in Safety Critical Systems (Design, Implementation, Test), ideally with automotive systems and/or autonomy systems.

Experience of Familiarity with Safety Standards such as MIL-STD-882E, ISO 26262, DO-178C.
