Job Description

The Washington Post is in search of a Manager, Technical Delivery Management which will be located at our Chicago office. Below is a brief summary of the responsibilities and requirements of this role.

  • Deep technical specialty in digital transformation
  • Understand the intersection between technology, customers, and business; Serve as an expert Digital Consultant creating and orchestrating digital/business transformation and product solutions, strategic roadmaps, data-driven experience design, platform implementation, and continuous improvement/optimization programs
  • Stay abreast of current and emerging digital trends and opportunities of the space/markets and geographies in which the clients operate, and how it affects clients' business and initiatives
  • Establish and cultivate strong relationships with clients at senior levels as well as external and internal partners to maximize growth within an account/client portfolio
  • Uses Application Advisory Consulting expertise in developing resolution to critical issues and broad design matters
  • Oversees and provides consultancy services to client technology and functional area plans
  • Responsible for end to end road map design for complex client architectures, development and operations processes, working in concert with solution architects and sales engineering.
  • Performs business case analysis for functional area options and scenarios.
  • Owns the deep partner relationships for their technical specialty.
  • Thought Leader to come up with "best in class" practices.
  • Sells and delivers on profitable digital consulting projects:
    • Support sales / pre-sales activities by acting as the digital lead to assess opportunities, respond to RFP's, create proposals and presentations, establish relationships with clients and prospective clients, pitch and help to close / sign new deals
    • Works in conjunction with Arc Sales to generate additional business with responsibility to
      achieve and/or exceed annual revenue and margin targets.
    • Co-leads responses to RFPs and RFIs within client service delivery.
    • Leads and actively participates in building a digital team including hiring directly and
      identifying subcontractors to bid in projects.
    • Provides leadership on digital engagements
    • Helps high quality delivery of all programs related engagements
    • Align with Account Managers and Senior Leadership to drive account plans and strategies for ongoing growth and client satisfaction
    • Orchestrate teams across Arc to bring the right resources to bear on an account and leading the transition from the sales process to the delivery phase
    • Ensure successful delivery throughout an end-to-end integrated delivery model
