Position Number 103769 Exempt Regular, Cat 33 - Full Time

The Department of Veterinary Medicine of the University of Maryland, College Park and the Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine invites applications from qualified individuals for Management and operation of equipment in the core facility that includes several dedicated equipment, their maintenance, and the training of students and postdocs how to use them.

 

Responsibilities:

Management and operation of equipment that include Flow Cytometry (with cell sorter), Confocal Microscope, Electron Microscopy, Fluorescent Microscopy, X-Ray Developer, PCR machine, DNA Sequencer, in vivo imaging, etc.Management and operation of equipment that includes Flow Cytometry (with cell sorter), Confocal Microscope, Electron Microscopy, Fluorescent Microscopy, X-Ray Developer, PCR machine, DNA Sequencer, in vivo imaging, etc. Training all users to operate equipment and relative software, including students, visiting scholars, staff, faculty, and customers. Explain and analyze data with trainees. Capability anddesire to learn new cutting edge technology.

 

Minimum Requirements:

Required: Minimal Bachelor’s degree in Biological, Biomedical, Physical Sciences.  

 

Preferred Requirements:

Preferred: a Master or Ph.D. degree in the related field.

 

Salary and Benefits:
