The Physical Therapist works in an acute rehab setting and participates in the evaluation, planning and implementation of specific treatment and prevention programs for chronic conditions, illnesses, and/or musculoskeletal injuries in accordance with patient needs. The Physical Therapist provides services that will restore physical function, improve mobility, relieve pain and assist patients in reaching their maximum performance level. The Physical Therapist collaborates with an interdisciplinary team regarding the needs of the patient and serves as an educator to patients and families.

Responsibilities
* Provides evaluation services including review of pertinent history, performance of specific assessments, and determination of recommendations. Documents the results of all evaluations.
* Explains evaluation findings and treatment plan to patient and family.
* Demonstrates proficiency in implementation of treatment protocols based upon evaluation findings and patient's presentation. Consults with other healthcare professionals as indicated.
* Recognizes and documents changes in patient's condition requiring modification of the plan of care and/or the need for medical/rehabilitation consultation.
* Completes appropriate discharge planning and follow-up care.
* Pursues continuing education for professional growth
* Demonstrates effective time management skill to meet productivity expectations. Participates in hospital and community-based marketing activities.

Qualifications
* Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctorate degree from an accredited program
* Currently Licensed Physical Therapist in the state of Maryland
* Two years of therapy experience. Clinical experience in an outpatient therapy setting preferred
* Current American Heart Association BLS/CPR certification.

Work Schedule:

Full Time, 36 hour week (10 Saturday, 10 Sunday, 8 Monday, 8 Tuesday)
