Job Description

Critical Functions
  • Develop and disseminate Arc newsroom products' training and professional development materials. This includes the online learning center, videos, webinar presentations, Quick Start guides, other documentation, and customer training curricula materials.
  • Assess individual and group training needs.
  • Perform on-site customer training and sales presentations as required.
  • Participate in training of Arc sales and consulting personnel.
  • Develop and maintain strong knowledge of Arc newsroom products.
  • Develop and maintain training material to reflect changes in new product releases.
  • Design and deliver customized training and professional development sessions.
  • Gather, synthesize, and share customer feedback with appropriate channels at Arc including Product Development and UX.
  • Perform other assignments or duties as required.

A successful candidate will have:
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 4-6 years of related experience, which could include working with customers in SaaS delivery/enablement and/or customer success, teaching in K-12 or higher education, and/or providing training in corporate or educational settings
  • Experience working in a digital publishing setting a plus, preferably in a newsroom
  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
  • Must have outstanding presentation skills.
  • Ability to communicate and interact with employees and customers at all levels, including the ability to give clear precise instructions that are readily understandable by non-technical users
  • Familiarity with technologies common in development of large websites, including HTML, CSS, JS and modern front-end frameworks and common internet concepts (server versus client, CDN, caching, HTTP, etc.), as well as APIs and distributed systems / service-oriented architecture
  • Experience with engineering/development teams in product management or as a stakeholder
  • Competency with Microsoft Office Suite, Google Suite, Adobe Photoshop, and webinar hosting services (WebEx and/or GoToMeeting)
  • This position will require travel, up to 50%
  • Detailed-orientated, with strong organizational, creative problem-solving, and collaborative skills
  • Proven ability to interact effectively at all levels within an organization, including executive and C-level
  • Ability to work well in a dynamic group environment and under deadline pressures
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including some weekend and evening work
  • Teaching experience preferred
