Overview:

Sentara Nursing Center in Currituck NC is currently seeking a skilled, compassionate Speech Language Pathologist to provide quality care for our patients.

Department/Position Overview: The Speech Language Pathologist will perform screenings, assess patient condition, and design therapy and treatment plans to help the patient develop necessary speech skills. The ideal candidate will be compassionate and knowledgeable about speech-related conditions and therapies. To succeed as a Speech Language Pathologist, one would have the knowledge of how to alter treatment plans to better suit the individual needs of a diverse patient population. Certified by American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) for Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech Pathology (CCC-SLP) when meets eligibility requirements

Responsibilities:

Assess, plan, organize, and participate in rehabilitative programs that improve speech, swallowing, language, voice, and fluency disorders. Provides age appropriate education for clients and caregivers. Supervise and assume responsibility for care provided by identified team members.
