Job Description

We are looking for a print sales professional, who will represent The Washington Post among print and integrated investment teams at several large agency groups. You will work within our agency team, and act as a strong advocate for the power of our printed product, partnering with both external and internal stakeholder groups to help consolidate revenues within our most established advertising product.

Responsibilities
  • Represent The Washington Post within print specific investment teams at an assigned group of major advertising agencies.
  • Collaborate closely with our B2B marketing teams to develop narratives and shareable assets that communicate the value of our printed product to advertisers
  • Support our global sales team with print specific proposals for standalone campaigns or part of larger integrated partnerships
  • Provide quick turnaround support for information on audience dynamics of the readers of our printed product.
  • Collaborate closely with agency partners and pricing & yield teams to develop commercial incentives for increased advertiser investment
  • Represent print campaign performance during client and agency quarterly business reviews.
  • Distribute 3rd party insights relative to the Washington Post print reader both internally and externally
  • Align with our product marketing teams to stay abreast of all upcoming editorial alignment opportunities.
  • Collaborate with The Washington Post's advertiser research team to identify opportunities to support clients and agencies with case studies and ad hoc research projects.
  • Maintain and grow relationships with print specific independent agencies
  • Provide technical production support and troubleshooting to internal and external stakeholders, relating to specs, deadlines, special sections, billing etc.
  • Represent The Washington Post at specific vertical trade networking events.
  • Competitive review of major competitors - Help to compile data on advertisers within our
  • Post-sales support of campaigns with position reporting, paper, and e-copy distribution, in collaboration with personnel at our DC and Springfield plants.


Qualifications
  • 7+ years of account management experience within publishing.
  • Competency with Microsoft Office suite of products, as well as Salesforce CRM
  • A comprehensive understanding of, and passion for, news media
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal), to ensure key internal and external stakeholders remain informed and engaged
  • Excellent written and oral presentation skills, as well as the ability to develop unique narratives in collaboration with internal marketing stakeholders
