The MIL Corporation seeks a Senior Applications Analyst to support a Federal Government client at our Charleston, South Carolina location. As a member of the Global Compensation team, the incumbent will be responsible for performing analysis on business processes and software-related issues pertaining to payroll for Federal Government employees.

  • Responsible for building, deploying and maintaining data support tools.
  • Validate data pulls from various sources (i.e. Oracle Database, Access Databases) for accuracy and completeness
  • Troubleshoot and document technical solutions for support tickets
  • Troubleshoot, analyze, and solve complex problems, provide guidance and instructions to customers
  • Recommend and implement new business practices to automate or otherwise improve outdated practices
  • Act as liaison between payroll department and software development department by providing business requirements for software releases
  • Research government regulations related to payroll in order to make recommendations about software changes or business process changes
  • Facilitate implementation of new software within the end-user community
  • Participate in workgroups to identify and propose technical improvements to software and business processes
  • Create documentation for processes and technical solutions developed

Required Qualifications
  • BA/BS, US Citizenship
  • Proficient in SQL and/or Visual Basic
  • Proficient in Oracle and/or Oracle Databases
  • Ability to multi-task while maintaining a professional demeanor
  • Very good written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience with MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access)
  • Experience with SQL Developer

Desired Qualifications
  • Experience with PeopleSoft applications
  • Experience with producing payroll
  • Experience with robotic process automation is a plus
  • Experience with Control-M or other batch processing applications
  • Experience with Powershell
