Primary Purpose

Plays a key role in developing and implementing communication strategies including media outreach, internal communication, and copy writing on behalf of Emmes and global projects. Specific responsibilities will include development of press releases and internal communications, as well as written website and social media content.

Responsibilities
  • Plan and execute day to day communication activities and deliverables identified by projects and serve as the communications liaison among scientific advisors and stakeholders.
  • Develop and implement a communication strategy that includes media outreach and social media content creation.
  • Research and write press releases, and content for the company website, infographics, blogs, and newsletters.
  • Support the planning and implementation of both internal and external communication strategies
  • Assist in managing Emmes' social media and online presence
  • Ensure that all Emmes materials meet the Emmes brand identity strategy
  • Assess and report on the effectiveness of communication strategies
  • Build and maintain relationships with Emmes stakeholders
  • Other duties as assigned


Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, English, Public Relations or in a related field required
  • 3+ years' experience in a related communications role, preferably within a global health, clinical research, biotechnology, or life sciences environment.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint
  • Knowledge of Social Media platforms
  • Work history leveraging Social media scheduling software such as SproutSocial, Buffer or Hootsuite
  • Basic understanding of marketing automation software such as Hubspot, or Marketo.
  • Usage of email marketing software such as Mailchimp and/or Constant Contact preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Knowledge and understanding of scientific and research terminology in written communication materials desired
  • Proven strategic and creative mindset with meticulous attention to detail
