Principal Software Engineer

Job Duties:

Design, develop, debug, and modify software systems using best practices. Consult with product, designers, business, and other stakeholders for software design and maintenance. Analyze operational/system requirements, participate in architecture reviews, and present technical briefings. Evaluate, test, and document data security and continuous operations of systems. Work closely with Dev Ops and other teams to build and scale infrastructure. Establish and regularly review coding standards, testing principles, and deployment processes. Job is in Chicago, IL

Job Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering plus 5 years of experience as a Software Engineer; 5 years of experience building enterprise grade applications in Java; 5 years of experience building and consuming SOAP or RESTful web services; 5 years of experience working with Relational and NOSQL databases; and 3 years of experience with Amazon web services.
