C2BMC Overhead Persistent Infrared Modeling & Simulation Engineer


Venturi, LLC A Chenega Company seeks a C2BMC Overhead Persistent Infrared Modeling and Simulation Engineer to support Command, Control, Communications, and Battle Management (C3BM) systems engineering efforts, including engaging in Command, Control, Battle Management, and Communications (C2BMC) technical engineering and integration, future concepts, new functionality, and multi-national exchange designs.

  • Participate in reviews and assessments of C2BMC M&S products and documentation.
  • Collaborate with MDS stakeholders is a requirement in order to prepare C2BMC M&S products as part of the engineering objectives documentation and analysis processes.
  • Participate in engineering meetings, present engineering product development updates, provide analysis and failure review summaries, and make recommendations.
  • Provide evolving C3BM architecture analysis.
  • Provide expertise in the area of Overhead Persistent Infrared (OPIR) capability.
  • Support M&S development efforts for C2BM and BOA.
  • Participate in evaluations of C3BM increments and initiatives.
  • Coordinate V&V activities for all C2BMC and OPIR M&S.
  • Provide expertise in threat modeling.
  • Provide systems engineering support to validate C3BM models used to assess system capabilities and limitations and inform development of MDS analysis capability provided to the Warfighter.
  • Provide input on measures used to validate models, evaluate test cases to ensure performance adequately assessed, interpret test results to identify problems and impact to overall system capability, provide developer and MDA/BC Project Office feedback on sensor model algorithms, and research and provide recommendations on model improvement opportunities that will have the most impact to the overall system performance.

  • BS degree (STEM) and Master's degree required
  • 12+ years of professional experience
  • Interim secret clearance on day one is required with the ability to obtain/maintain a secret clearance for the duration of the contract

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Familiarity with algorithm knowledge of C3BM/OPIR capabilities and any models/simulations skills
  • Ability to apply network engineering and solutions to support real-world test, integration, and operations
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint
  • Python, MATLAB, Visual Basic, supporting simulation environment evaluations skill
  • Familiarity with Missile Defense Agency, Ballistic Missile Defense System, and/or C3BM Program Office work efforts
  • Ability to work independently within a dynamic environment
  • Work within a collaborative environment composed of government, prime contractor, sub-contractor, and supporting contractor personnel in a badge-less contractor environment
  • Self-starter with enthusiasm and capacity to learn in a fast-paced environment
