Sr. Information Security Analyst


The Sr. Information Security Analyst will provide support and services necessary to execute the Risk Management Framework (RMF) component of a multi-phased installation of Raise the Bar (RTB) compliant Cross Domain Solution (CDS) architecture within the Meteorology and Oceanography (METOC) enterprise

  • Support the RMF Cybersecurity Program compliance and sustainment for CDS systems.
  • Support the Information System Security Manager (ISSM) in Cybersecurity policy development and enforcement, requirements verification for user system access, and requirements verification for classified space security controls.
  • Research existing and emerging Information Technology (IT) and Cybersecurity requirements, strategies, and solutions where pertaining to CDS systems and their Assessment & Authorization (A&A).
  • Development and performance of change management responsibilities for RMF A&A packages for the Non-classified Internet Protocol Router Network (NIPRNET) and Secret Internet Protocol Route Network (SIPRNET) connected CDS systems, and for the RMF Security Authorization Package (SAP) for the disconnected CDS Lab system.
  • A&A package support for accreditation and authority to operate
  • SAP development, modification and finalization
  • Continual monitoring in support of CDS Lab and operational CDS systems.
  • Compliance with applicable DoD and Navy directives.
  • Provide the following deliverables as specified in individual subtasks:
  • Categorization form, system diagrams, security plan, and POA&Ms
  • Documentation of ports, protocols, service accounts and access requirements
  • RMF accreditation package artifacts such as:
  • System Security Plan
  • Continuity of Operations Plan
  • Disaster Recovery Plan
  • Incident Response Plan required by RMF for the CDS systems
  • Documentation of RMF security findings and POA&M for each.
  • SLCM Strategy
  • Monthly Status Reports
  • Complete company timesheet and online trainings as required.
  • Other duties as assigned

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 3+ years of related work experience in Information Security.
  • Department of the Navy Risk Management Framework (RMF) experience preferred
  • Secret clearance is required.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Background in Cybersecurity and/or Cross Domain Solution (CDS) support is a plus.
  • Must be able to multitask with the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and be able to effectively prioritize efforts to successfully meet deadlines.
  • Demonstrate excellent communication skills which ensure viewpoints and concepts are presented in a clear and concise manner.
  • Must be responsive in resolving issues and experienced in providing one to one user interaction.
  • Must be abreast of the latest technologies and trends, and able to adapt or implement to support requirements.
  • Ability to travel up to 10% as requested.
