Modeling & Simulation System Architect

The compensation for this position is $135,000 to $148,000 per year plus full benefits.

Responsibilities
  • Lead engineering specialists in the design, development, and deployment of enterprise M&S programs, projects, and infrastructure.
  • Work with organizational representatives in the M&S and IT communities to define enterprise system solutions, meet emerging mission needs, and integrate with existing applications, systems, and platforms.
  • Identify, analyze, and recommend technology products required for solution delivery and documents integration and migration strategies.

Qualifications
  • Master's degree in STEM field
  • 12+ years working on missile defense-related or other complex, large DoD program/project
  • Active secret clearance

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Demonstrated understanding of system architecture, systems engineering, computer engineering, hardware/software integration, and data engineering disciplines

• Ability to think critically (i.e. research, understand, analyze, synthesize, and critique), creating solutions to new and one-of-a-kind program challenges and issues as they arise

• Ability to propose and execute technical project solutions which align with customer strategic goals, proposing courses of action based on overarching leadership goals and objectives

• Experience writing and coordinating engineering and technology integration and migration strategies

• Experience successfully leading matrixed, geographically diverse technical product and engineering project teams

• Ability to clearly communicate complex ideas and produce and present clear, concise, well-organized, and audience-relevant presentations and documents

• Ability to create a positive, collaborative working relationship with representatives and stakeholders from external organizations

• Ability to negotiate best technical and program solutions within environmental and leadership constraints

• Conscientious, agreeable, and open-minded individual who can lead teams to creatively meet technical challenges, drive groups to create solutions, and orchestrate deployment actions
