Primary Purpose

Assist Emmes staff and management in carrying out human resources policies, programs and procedures, with a special focus on talent, benefits, and compensation for Emmes staff and supervisors.

Responsibilities
  • Works with all managers and hiring staff, including talent acquisition, to locally manage the internal and external deployment of talent
  • Coordinates benefit administration for the local office in conjunction with the Corporate Benefits
  • Administers all local aspects related to pay, timesheets, and the ADP system of record
  • Responds to employee relation issues such as employee complaints, harassment allegations and performance related issues
  • Assists with maintaining and tracking employee relations complaints via employee relations tacking system
  • Implements current or revised Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's) relating to HR
  • Supports the performance management, compensation review, and benefits processes
  • Updates company handbooks in accordance with local laws; collaborates with corporate human resource team to ensure corporate policy and procedures are updated and carried out by staff as applicable by law.
  • Maintains employee relations dashboard on a weekly basis
  • Conducts new hire orientation, onboard and off-board employees
  • Assists with human resource program development including mentorship, diversity, and inclusion
  • Assists in the development and implementation of personnel policies and procedures aligned with best practices, participate in related employee training sessions, and respond to general inquiries from staff
  • Participates as a member of the implementation team for human resource software tools
  • Other duties as assigned

Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, human resources or a related field
  • At least 5 years of progressive experience in human resources, inclusive of talent acquisition, employee relations, and business partner management
  • SHRM or PHR certification required
  • Working knowledge of onboarding, conducting new-hire orientation, and compensation review necessary to perform job
