TheTechnical Writer will assist in developing, writing, revising, and editing reports, articles, manual, specifications, presentation material, and technical documents.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical edits to engineering documentation, software documentation, manuals, reports, or any other documents or presentations.
  • Work with teams to obtain an in-depth understanding of scientific and technical information, documentation content, and requirements.
  • Develop diagrams, charts and graphs that increase the user's understanding.
  • Develop high-quality documentation with no guidance that is easy-to-understand, easy to use, meets applicable standards, and meets the objectives and goals for the intended audience.
  • Other duties as assigned

    Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree with 1+ years of Technical Writing experience OR
  • 5+ years of directly related DoD Technical Writing experience can be used in lieu of degree
  • TS/SCI clearance required

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Ability to work independently and yet be effective within a team setting
  • Must be capable of managing multiple efforts with time related constraints in a fast-paced contracting environment
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with diverse internal and external stakeholder groups and individuals
  • Friendly presence, helpful attitude, good interpersonal skills, and ability to work well with others.
  • Excellent skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and other Office applications
  • Experience working in a home office setting
  • Ability to train end users on frequently asked technical issues
  • Ability to provide technical assistance and support over the phone with good phone skills, professional demeanor
  • Previous customer service experience strongly desired
  • Good problem-solving skills with the ability to visualize a problem or situation and think abstractly to solve it
