Game/Technical Producer - Journeyman


The Game/Technical Producer - Journeyman shall support the Command's gaming needs by performing tasks with respect to game engine-based 3D immersion training material and simulations.

  • Design, create, modify, and deploy game engine-based 3D immersive training material and simulations and support the production and testing of these materials and simulations.
  • Interface plug-ins and 3 rd party features with game environment.
  • Integrate 3D models and graphical assets from modeling software into game engine projects.
  • Test and debug release builds.
  • Manage build releases with focus on coordinating the various aspects of game-based ICW and virtual simulation production to ensure the smooth and timely release of quality content targeting various distribution platforms.
  • Ensure that resources, timelines, and the overall quality of the released products are considered and meet specified requirements.
  • Plan and execute release reviews, including test plan authoring, requirements traceability, test oversight/execution, bug reports, and results documentation.
  • Identify risks that may impact timely release of builds.
  • Work with project leads to develop strategies to handle various product release threats and opportunities and execute mitigation strategies.
  • Monitor assigned projects before deployment, ensuring all teams are on schedule and adhering to agreed requirements.
  • Stay up to date with the latest update release guidelines and liaise with design and development teams to ensure they are on the same page.
  • Establish build key performance measures and report progress on releases over time to project leadership.
  • Recommend and implement submission workflow improvements as needed and ensure build post-release procedures are being followed, including DR tracking and customer communications.

  • BA or BS degree in Game Design/Production, Digital Media, Engineering, or Computer Science
  • Must have 3+ years of relevant work experience
  • Secret clearance required

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Must have the ability to attend all customer in-person meetings and conferences within two (2) hours, as requested.
  • Ability to travel locally up to 50%.
  • Ability to translate training requirements to game features and user experience.
  • Understanding of various game engine software and programming languages.
  • Knowledge of game engine 3D content creation and integration pipelines.
  • Knowledge of software build pipeline code/scripts and tools in a variety of languages (python, Java, or C#), and comfortable with various APIs.
  • A thorough understanding and familiarity of target distribution platform requirements, processes, policies, procedures, and user interface, etc.
  • Knowledge of software build review and test cycle procedures and processes.
  • Ability to manage staggered release schedules across concurrent projects.
  • Ability to multi-task in a high-performance based environment.
  • Possess strong problem-solving skills.
