Research Support Specialist II, SIGINT


The Research Support Specialist II, SIGINT will serve as primary developer for Joint Capabilities Integration and Development System (JCIDS) documents, including Capabilities Development Documents (CDDs) and Capabilities Production Documents (CPDs), pertaining to Aerial Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (AISR) payloads for the Army's TRADOC Capability Manager Aerial (TCM Aerial).

  • Support Army Capabilities Integration Center (ARCIC) while developing requirements documents for capability gaps for current and future force ISR payloads on unmanned aerial platforms
  • Ensure Unmanned Aircraft System's (UAS) payload Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures (TTPs) are updated and properly documented in Concept of Operations (CONOPS), Concept of Employment (CONEMP), and Operational Views (OV)
  • Ensure documentation supporting the acquisition, testing, fielding, and sustainment of AISR payloads are developed, staffed, and approved in accordance with program acquisition strategies
  • Track all Army AISR payloads for the Shadow UAS, Hunter UAS, and Extended Range Multi-Purpose (ERMP) UAS through the acquisition life cycle model
  • Support Doctrine, Organization, Training, Material, Leadership, Personnel, and Facilities (DOTMLPF) assessments for programs of record
  • Monitor and support development of Quick Reaction Capabilities (QRCs) and Capabilities Development for Rapid Transition (CDRT) for their transition into PORs
  • Participate in AISR payload related Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) and Working Groups (WG) that are primarily focused in Imagery Intelligence (IMINT) and Signals Intelligence (SIGINT) and Cyber Center of Excellence (CCOE) TCM EW Electronic Warfare for UAS platforms
  • Coordinate with TCM EW and the Cyber Center of Excellence (CCOE) on the Army integration path forward for SIGINT/EW UAS Capabilities
  • Other duties as assigned

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • 5+ years of meaningful experience
  • TS/SCI clearance required

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Senior-level experience in a SIGINT discipline, equivalent experience in Military Intelligence, SIGINT operations, and TTP.
  • Senior-level experience in SIGINT collection, production, and research.
  • Ability to apply quantitative and qualitative research techniques to perform subsequent analysis.
  • Ability to write technical documentation in a clear and concise manner and IAW published guidelines and formats, including the JCIDS directed formats and procedures.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as a team member.
  • Ability to travel as required.
  • Ability to handle controversial situations with tact and diplomacy.
