Programmatic Platforms Manager

The Programmatic Platforms Manager will manage and implement strategic programmatic platforms to grow revenue while balancing user experience. We are looking for a candidate with familiarity of the programmatic landscape and technology. This person will interact directly with our ad operations group and report to the Director, Programmatic Partnerships and Strategy.

  • Manage day to day relationships with programmatic platforms on the Washington Post
  • Manage inventory set up and yield across all programmatic platforms targeting Display, Mobile and Video
  • Evaluate potential new partners and platforms to drive revenue growth
  • Work across multiple teams to implement new programmatic platforms
  • Understand operations and revenue from different channels of programmatic (Open RTB, fixed priced, floor priced auctions, programmatic guaranteed).
  • Monitor performance across all programmatic platforms
  • Develop strategies to increase programmatic yield
  • Grow US and International demand sources
  • Work cross-functionally with a variety of teams such as sales, client services, and operations

  • 1-2 years of programmatic operations experience
  • Experience with behavioral targeting, audience targeting, retargeting, Supply Side Platforms, and programmatic sales
  • Firm understanding of campaign setup and trafficking within Google DFP or other ad server
  • Strong understanding of platform implementation strategies (waterfall vs header bidding vs server to server)
  • Data Management Platform experience
  • Data and yield analysis skills
  • Fluency with MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook)
  • Demonstrate a strong ability to communicate effectively with both internal and external partners
  • BS or BA required
