Company Job Title: Helpdesk Technician III

Minimum Qualifications:(To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.)
  • High school diploma or GED and 7+ years' experience OR
  • Associates degree in a directly related field and 5+ years' experience OR
  • Bachelor's degree in a non-directly related field and 3+ years' experience OR
  • Bachelor's degree in a directly related field and 2+ years' experience OR
  • Master's degree in a non-directly related field and 2+ years' experience OR
  • Master's degree in a directly related field and 1+ years' experience
  • Relevant education and/or experience must be in an IT discipline related to the assigned program area (e.g., Network Engineering, Network Management, Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer or Software Engineering, Management Information Systems, or Computer Forensics/Security, etc.).
  • ATEC: Computing Environment, Security+ (or equivalent DOD Directive 8570.1 IAT II), or A+/Network+ (or equivalent DOD Directive 8570.1 IAT I) required.
  • Background check required. May require ability to obtain and maintain a top secret clearance.

    Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Relevant experience is required in deploying IT hardware, like desktop computers, laptops, tablets, monitors, and printers.
  • Relevant experience is required in configuring IT hardware to resolve problems and installing/configuring operating system images and specialty software on customer devices.
  • Experience with using Trouble Ticket automated software with the ability to perform backup and restore of software and data on client compute devices, and trouble shoot and resolve client network and wireless issues.
  • Experience in generating reports using Trouble Ticket automated software; testing, analysis and repair of computer system hardware and software malfunctions.
  • Experience in large and timely hardware/software organization-wide deployments.
  • Experience coordinating with vendors for the maintenance and repair of hardware related issues and managing inventory and status of computer systems.
  • OTC: Relevant education/experience in creating and providing management reports and analyzing unresolved trouble tickets.
  • Experience includes setting up training, creating courses of studies, training material development, and providing training, etc.
  • Must be proficient in the use of applications, like Microsoft Office Suite, MS Project, and Visio and Adobe 2010 Professional, for document creation.
