Administrative Assistant


The project Administrative Assistant will provide project related administrative, clerical, and accounting support to the Chenega Worldwide Support President and/or senior organizational staff Supervisory Responsibilities.

  • Assist in preparation of briefings, project abstracts, and/or presentations, utilizing Microsoft Office.
  • Be able to create formats and templates as needed.
  • Support and serve as a scribe at conferences and meetings as directed.
  • Assist operations in project Quality and SharePoint program audits and site management.
  • Provide administrative support, including but not limited to preparing ad hoc reports and monthly project deliverables.
  • Record management, including updating, maintaining, and tracking of SharePoint items stored on the Shared Drive and SharePoint.
  • Maintain administrative confidentiality in daily project activities in accordance with the Privacy Act of 1974 and established office policies.
  • Aid with office equipment, including but not limited to, copy machines, shredder, fax, postage machine, and telephone system.
  • Track, monitor, and perform usage analyses on office equipment.
  • Assist with documenting operational/functional workflows and processes using Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Assist with gathering statistics or data from both CWS and MIOS internal systems and departments systems, to analyze in support of data calls and ad hoc reporting.
  • Assist Operations Management team with project Purchase Cards coding, expense reporting queries and follow-ups, daily time collection and monitoring, and other ad hoc activities as required.
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Associate degree
  • 2+ additional years of experience may be substituted for degree
  • 1+ years of administrative experience, including report preparation and technical writing is required
  • Must have a valid driver's license
  • Background Investigation required

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Ability to obtain a secret clearance.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint at an intermediate level.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Project and Visio is preferred.
  • Must demonstrate critical thinking and problem-solving skills, strong work ethic, ability to be a self-starter, and the desire to work and succeed in a rigorous and challenging dynamic business environment.
  • Must have excellent writing, presentation, and verbal skills.
  • Must have excellent oral communication skills and strong organizational skills.
  • Must possess the ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast paced environment.
  • Must possess the ability to work independently on projects that requires gathering of statistics or data to respond to data calls and support resources for the performance of activities in a specific program.
  • Ability to travel.

Salary range is $18-$21 per hour
