Senior Accountant

Intralox L.L.C., the world leader in conveyor equipment solutions utilizing modular plastic conveyor belts, has a position available for an experienced Senior Accountant. The qualified individual will provide accounting support for our rapidly growing equipment platform. The position will be a key member of our Equipment Accounting Group based in New Orleans, LA. In addition, this position will work in close partnership with our internal operations departments to ensure meaningful reporting and analysis and apply best practices and continuous improvement concepts to the inventory management processes.

  • Monitor and provide detailed analysis on inventory/manufacturing transactions
  • Work directly with operations on process improvements and issue resolution
  • Participate in, sometimes leading, recurring meetings with various departments, with constant awareness of accounting impacts
  • Assist with cost bookings on large projects for percentage of completion revenue recognition
  • Prepare and maintain monthly account reconciliations
  • Review and analyze balance sheet and gross margin accounts
  • Review departmental costs to ensure proper general ledger coding
  • Prepare month end adjusting journal entries
  • Assist in timely monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes
  • Assist with creation/maintenance of internal controls and internal process documentation to mitigate risk
  • Develop tools and processes to improve the gathering and preparation of financial reporting on department spending, manufacturing variances, and project costing
  • Support interim/annual audits
  • Participate on special projects as necessary (system improvements/business initiatives)
  • Regular travel to Baltimore is required (when deemed appropriate, given the ongoing COVID situation)
Requirements and Skills:
  • BS degree in Accounting, Finance or related study, with minimum 3-5 years of relevant work experience
  • Inventory accounting experience
  • Public accounting experience or CPA/CMA preferred
  • Proven work experience in manufacturing industry preferred
  • Solid understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (US GAAP)
  • Experience with Oracle and/or other large ERP system preferred
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Excel and other Microsoft Office products
  • Able to collaborate with a multi-department team
