Quality Resource

Intralox Metal Fabrication has a position available for an experienced Quality Resource in its Harahan, LA facility. This individual will be responsible for maintaining, expanding, and continuous improvement of all aspects of the Quality Assurance program. This position will ensure all fabrication processes are adhered to and all fabricated components meet the customer's design criteria via audits and inspections. This will be accomplished with a hands-on approach in all aspects of product fabrication.

  • Verify fabricated components, weldments, and assemblies meet customer drawing requirements.
  • Perform inspections on products, equipment, and machinery.
  • Perform QC Audits and Process Monitoring in all Fabrication departments.
  • Perform Factory Acceptance Testing of finished products and components.
  • Record all related Quality Records with regards to verification, testing, auditing, and calibration results.
  • Work with Fabrication Teams on error resolutions to prevent future occurrences.
  • Generate timely Quality Reports as required to ensure all Processes are functioning optimally.
  • Incorporate and Implement Continuous Improvement and Lean principles in daily work.
  • Develop operational understanding to provide backup support to Deburring and Leveling operations.
  • It is essential that this position be performed at the facility
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in Manufacturing Quality Assurance roles.
  • High School diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Must be able to read mechanical fabrication drawings
  • Must be able to properly use and maintain measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, profilers, etc.
  • Self-motivated, positive attitude and ability work in a team environment.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Proficient with MS Office applications.
  • Ability to work in fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment effectively under pressure.
  • Ability to work as scheduled, including overtime and weekends as required.
  • Must be able to perform the job responsibilities noted above, including the ability to lift 40 pounds.
  • Assist other departments on an as needed basis.
Desired Qualifications

· Trade School / Technical Degree in a related field.

· Quality Technician, Inspector, or Engineer Certification.

· Interested and willing to obtain certification in one of the above QA levels.

· More than 4 years' experience in Quality Assurance roles in a manufacturing environment.
