Operations Technician


Venturi, LLC A Chenega Company, has an excellent opportunity for an Operations Technician. This person will work with a team to handle a wide range of operations requiring the transport of small, medium, and large high-value assets for Missile Defense Agency.

Venturi seeks qualified candidates with a High School diploma and two to five years of experience performing process-oriented technical procedures in a team setting.  Desired skill-set includes heavy equipment operations, general material handling and warehousing with experience handling hazardous materials and leading teams in technical processes. This individual will be employed as part of an operations team responsible for general transportation of cargo to include hazardous materials and will perform general warehouse work and material handling.  Candidate must be computer literate (operate and update automated web-based data system) and competent in Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, Mail). Candidate must be physically able to lift boxes, packages and equipment weighing up to 100 pounds using proper equipment and lifting techniques.  Personnel may be required to perform strenuous walking, pushing, and lifting tasks and may have to stand for extended periods of time.  Personnel will be expected to demonstrate precise documentation skills. 

The Engineering Technician II performs technical support engineering involving a sequence of related operations in such areas as Maintenance, Transportation Support, Inventory/Warehouse support and Test and Engineering Operations.

  • Perform extremely high-profile work for the Department of Defense.
  • Provide technical support engineering on following specific instructions, assembles or constructs simple or standard equipment or parts, servicing or repairing simple instruments or equipment;
  • Provide technical support engineering on conducting a variety of tests using established methods, preparing test specimens, adjusting and operating equipment, recording test data, and pointing out deviations resulting from equipment malfunction or observational errors;
  • Provide technical support engineering on extracting engineering data from various prescribed but non-standardized sources, processing the data following well-defined methods including elementary algebra and geometry, and presenting the data in prescribed form.
  • Function independently to resolve problems; advises staff members in order to meet established objectives.
  • Perform maintenance and other logistics functions on fielded systems.
  • Maintain inventory, prepares order quantities, and tracks resupply activities.
  • Perform fleet planning, operation and maintenance.
  • Prepare materials for shipping.
  • Conduct maintenance operations
  • Operate test and diagnostic equipment
  • Operate handling equipment
  • Operate/Drive various vehicles.
  • Other duties as assigned

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Valid Drivers License
  • Interim Secret security clearance on day one and ability to obtain/maintain Secret security clearance
