If the answer is yes, you may be ready to join us as an Executive Producer. You will work skillfully as a leader in The Washington Post Creative Group. You will be a mentor to your teammates and a hands-on production executive. We want to scale our audio and video work in new and innovative ways, and we need someone who is ready to jump in to help make that happen. You will report to the head of the department as well as work hand in hand with our creative directors to ensure the highest quality products. You should have a solid track record of working with clients to produce digital, social and experiential content that drives business goals. You should also have a strong creative point of view paired with boundless diplomacy.

Responsibilities include:
  • Overseeing post sale programs to ensure the highest quality product
  • Reviewing reels to gather and maintain a roster of production companies so that we match the right vendor with the right creative
  • Participating in the pitch process in partnership with strategists, creative leads and design to ensure that production and execution is feasible and will set us up for success
  • Sourcing talent, locations, directors, photographers, and contractors as needed for all programs
  • Effectively managing budgets and production timelines to ensure projects are executed on time, adjusting the creative work as needed
  • Attending shoots and production days as needed, both in-person or remotely
  • Interfacing with clients and partner agencies where needed, including presenting scripts and treatments, attending kickoffs and status calls, and working alongside clients and stakeholders on productions
  • Mentoring a team of talented audio/visual producers

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 5 years as a producer in advertising, content or journalism
  • Deep knowledge of the advertising and/or entertainment industry
  • A clear, proven understanding of how to create groundbreaking work that is rooted in strategy and brand business objectives
  • The ability to manage up, down, and laterally, keeping all stakeholders proactively involved and updated throughout the life of a project
