Facilities Maintenance Team Lead

Summary

The Facilities Maintenance Team Lead is responsible for assisting in the general operation and maintenance of all building mechanical and electrical equipment and systems. General knowledge of installation, repair, and operations of all phases of refrigeration, plumbing, electrical systems, painting, wall patching, and HVAC Systems will be required.

Responsibilities
  • Work with teams with colleagues; quickly respond to hot/cold calls from clients or tenants.
  • Apply general knowledge of electrical plumbing to repair and install new fixtures.
  • Apply general knowledge of electrical systems for troubleshooting and repair.
  • Re-lamp and change ballast, wall switched, lighting fixtures and basic electrical repairs on an as needed basis.
  • Responsible for the operation, maintenance, and repair of HVAC/R equipment
  • Participate in preparing the building and its systems for significant seasonal weather changes.
  • Perform basic plumbing repairs such as leaky pipes or replacing flushometers.
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED
  • 2-3 years of building operations experience is required
  • Ability to grasp and understand a variety of maintenance management procedures
  • Background check required

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • General Knowledge of CCTV and Access Control Systems.
  • Must have good verbal communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to perform daily work load with little or no supervision.
  • Ability to follow manufacturer guidelines regarding the use of hand tools.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule.
  • Ability to work well with team members and management.
  • Universal CFC certification is desired but not required.
  • Ability to understand and comply with OSHA guidelines and safe work practices and measures.
  • Desire to move up within the organization by demonstrating skill and drive in the tasks assigned.
  • Ability to pass an extensive background analysis.
  • Ability to read blue print diagrams or have the desire to learn.
  • Knowledge of DDC systems to control space temperature in maintaining heating and cooling systems within the facility.
