Senior Sustainability & Reliability Engineer

At Freddie Mac, you will do important work to build a better housing finance system and you'll be part of a team helping to make homeownership and rental housing more accessible and affordable across the nation.

Position Overview:

Do you have a background consisting of service management, development and analyzing enterprise IT issues and development solutions? If so, this position may be a good fit! This role will lead efforts to provide sustainability and reliability in support of legacy systems, including distributed platforms. The position requires the ability to bring broad IT experience to bear to develop solutions for systematic problems/inefficiencies.

**This position can be performed currently from a remote location in the U.S. but will require presence in a Freddie Mac office in the future.***

You will provide technical leadership to a new team with the purpose of implementing processes to make our environment reliable and sustainable. You will work independently and helping other team members by using your IT experience.

Qualifications:
  • 5-7 years professional related experience
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • Understanding in the use of Service Management and/or ITIL
  • Proficiency with Operating System technologies, such as Windows Server or Linux
  • Proficiency with programming languages such as Java, Python, HTML, CSS
  • Proficiency with automation/scripting tools such as Shell Scripting, PowerShell, and/or Ansible.
